knox gelatin recipe weight loss: Step-by-Step Instructions

★★★★★4.4 (8 reviews)

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries with 1/2 cup water until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh to remove seeds and pulp. Stir in honey, lemon juice, vanilla, and apple cider vinegar. In a small bowl, combine powdered gelatin with 1/4 cup cold water; let it bloom for 5 minutes. Heat the strained fruit mixture in a saucepan over low heat until just warm (do not boil). Whisk in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Then add the remaining 1.75 cups of cold water, whisk until fully incorporated. Return to the refrigerator and let set until firm, about 2-3 hours. Once set, cut into squares or scoop into small mason jars.
  2. Serve chilled, optionally garnish with a fresh strawberry slice on the side.

This turned out better than I expected. Let it chill overnight and it was even better.

Made this over the holidays — perfect! How long does this keep in the fridge?

Sure, reduce the white sugar by a third for a less-sweet version.

Making it ahead is totally fine — just store it covered.

I was skeptical at first but this was so good. Would this work with a sugar substitute?

It keeps about about 5 days in the fridge in an airtight container.

Used what I had on hand (coconut sugar) and it was still perfect.
